Bennett W. Anderson was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer on November 1, 2024. He served as Chief Operating Officer beginning in 2006 immediately prior to that. Prior to that time, he was a private investor from 2002 – 2006. He served as a Senior Vice President with Novell, Inc. from 1998-2002. Mr. Anderson’s duties included product direction, strategy and market direction, and training and support for the field sales staff. From 1978 to 1982, Mr. Anderson worked as a rig hand and was involved in drilling over a dozen wells in North Dakota. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University in Computer Science and graduated with University Honors of Distinction.

John B. Linford was elected to the Board on October 31, 2024.  Mr. Linford is an Attorney with John B. Linford, A Professional Law Corporation located in Bakersfield, CA. Mr. Linford has served as an oil and gas legal counsel to Daybreak since 2011. He has helped prepare land agreements as well as water use and general legal counsel for oil and gas related issues. Mr. Linford has helped create lease agreements as well as reviewed existing legal agreements for acquisition and Partnerships for Daybreak.  Mr. Linford has been in private practice in Bakersfield, CA from July 1990 – Present, emphasizing oil and gas, minerals and natural resources, real estate, common interest development, general business, commercial, corporations, partnerships, counseling, transactions, trial litigation, appeals, arbitration and mediation.  From November 1988 – July 1990, he served as an Attorney with Shell Oil Company in Bakersfield, CA providing legal counsel and advice, contracts, business, oil and gas transactions, mergers and acquisitions, litigation (in-house and outside) agricultural, construction, commercial, water, and real property. Mr. Linford graduated from the University of Oklahoma, College of Law with a Juris Doctor with Honors in 1988 with many accolades.  He earned his Undergraduate at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology; B.S. Geological Engineering with High Honors in 1979.  Mr. Linford earned his Bar Admissions in California in December 1988; and U.S. District Court, Eastern District California in December 1988.  He had an early career as a Geological Engineer, and served in the U.S. Navy. 

Jason Spittlehouse was elected to the Board on April 22, 2025.  Mr. Spittlehouse brings over 35 years of experience in various areas of the oil and gas industry.  Since 2014, Mr. Spittlehouse has served as the foundr and managing partner of Radian Partnership LP (“Radian”) a Texas partnership with current operations in the Williston Basin of North Dakota.  Radian previously had operations in the Illinois Basin.  From 2010 to 2014, Mr. Spittlehouse was the founder and manager of VistaTex Energy, LLC, an oil and gas company with assets in Texas.  From 2005-2009, Mr. Spittlehouse was the Chief Operating Officer and a director of Neon Energy, an oil and gas operator located in southeast Asia.  From 1993 to 2005, Mr. Spittlehouse worked in various management roles as both a geophysicist and geoscientist for a variety of oil and gas companues including Hess Corporation, ARC Energy and Dragon Oil, all with oil and gas operations in Australia, Indonesia and southeast Asia.  Mr. Spittlehouse graduated with a BSc degree with honors in Geology and Economics from the University of Hertfordshire, UK in 1992 and from Imperial College, UK with an MSc degree in Petroleum Geolgy in 1993.

Peter J. Young was elected to the Board on April 22, 2025.  Mr. Young brings over 18 years of experience in various areas of the oil and gas industry.  In 2018, Mr. Young became the non-executive chairman and majority owner of California Petroleum Group, an onshore oil production company located in Kern County, California.  From 2017 to the present, Mr. Young has also served as the managing director of Cornerstone Resources Group, a company that acquired gas discoveries and prospects in the UK, derisked them and prepared them for development and then monetized those assets.  Prior to that time, he founded Independent Oil and Gas, Plc, a company specializing in UK gas developments and served on the Board as both CFO and Head of Business Development.  He had an early career in the finance and banking industry dealing with commodities, hedging and risk finance.  Mr. Young graduated with a BA(hons) degree in Business Economics from Nottingham Trent University, UK in 1995 and from Durham University, UK with a MSc degree in Corporate and Internationsl Finance in 1996.  Mr. Young is the nominee selected by Gaelic Resouces, Ltd. to the Daybreak Board of Directors pursuant to the terms of the Exchange Agreement from the Reabold California, LLC acquisition.
